The school has a World - class educational, social and godly array of experiences and methodologies, drawn out to her learners from the Pre-Nursery to Reception classes. These include:

  • 1. Fun-filled activities ranging from going for a walk around the school, to acting a storyline, learning shapes, colours and sizes, writing numbers, letters and sounds in a condusive environment. The practical and cultural aspect of the Montessori is not left out. Here, our learners are thought how to care for themselves and their environment, leading to greater self-confidence. Also the cultural activities leading the child to experience science, art work and stories are not left out.
  • 2. All of best teaching methods to motivate young children by modelling enthusiasm and curiosity in repetition for better understanding.

The subjects taken by the Nursery learners include: Numeracy, Literacy, Physical Education, Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) Knowledge and Understanding of the world (KUW), Creative Art and Music.

The school offers a comprehensive and academically rigorous Pre-nursery, Nursery, Primary and Secondary education within a non-denominational, Christian-Center Worldview. Thus, the school runs an integrated British and Nigerian curriculum.

  • Secondary

The junior secondary section has three classes: year 7, 8 and 9. A learner must be at least 10 years old to gain entrance to secondary school. We offer seventeen (17) subjects in the junior secondary section. Our learning methods and pedagogy is founded on sound learning theories backed up with the vision of the institution.

Year 10 learners take all subjects in order to familiarize themselves with the peripheral part and make up their minds on career choice before they get to Year 11. Subjects they take include: Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economics, Agricultural Science, Civic Education, Further Mathematics, Government, Christian Religious, Knowledge, Foods & Nutrition, Elocution, Literature in English, Marketing, ICT, Accounts and Commerce.

For Year 11, learners are sectioned according their preferred future University course of study. The 3 sections we have at EHIS are: Science, Social Science and Arts. This is what learners carry into their final class (Year 12). At the final class, learners take the following examinations: IGCSE, SSCE (WAEC) and SSCE (NECO). We have consistently maintained excellence in these exams over the years.
